Uncontested Divorce
In Texas we can offer three types of divorce: Uncontested Divorce, Contested Divorce, and Divorce by Publication. We have the ability to assist you with all three types of divorce.
Uncontested Divorce is the least expensive and quickest. The process is less complicated under a Texas divorce.
The qualifications are as follows:
- Parties must agree to be divorced
- Parties must reach an agreement on all issues
- Parties must utilize only one attorney
- One spouse the designated Respondent must voluntarily sign all papers without service on any party.
If any of the above requirements are not meet, then a divorce becomes contested.
A divorce by Publication is available to those individuals seeking divorce with no knowledge of their spouse's whereabouts, it is important to understand that the court will appoint an Attorney Ad Litem to find the spouse’s whereabouts and said expenses will be charged to the party seeking the divorce.
